Darby’s Dancers Mission Statement
To provide dance education to children with special needs at no cost to their families and offer a foundation for inclusion with other dancers within an established dance organization.
The Dancers: Darby’s Dancers provides an opportunity for children with special needs to participate in the performing arts through dance education. At a once-a-week class, dancers learn all styles of dance; Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theater, Lyrical, gaining confidence, coordination, strength, and life long friends. At the end of the year, they will perform in the annual Spring Recital with costumes to a choreographed dance, along with the other FBC dancers.

The Coaches: Our youth volunteers learn more than lessons in responsibility and friendship by providing one-on-one assistance to each Darby’s Dancers. Although there is a lead teacher, the coaches work and teach and aid their Darby’s Dancer

Partnership: Darby’s Dancers National partners with local dance studios to provide a studio and to provide performance opportunities for the Darby’s Dancers. FBC helps finds teachers and coaches ensuring that they are trained. FBC actively searches for grants and fundraising opportunities in order to supply everything free to the Darby’s Dancers; instructors; t-shirt and shoes for class; tights and costume for recital; costume photos, tickets and Videos for the performers.
