About FBC's Irish Step Program
August 27, 2007 05:15 PM
Since FBC is affiliated with a certified Irish school
students are given the opportunity to compete in
Irish dancing competitions or a Feis (pronounced
"Fesh"). This program is offered to those students
who are looking to advance in their technical and
performance skills. Students compete in different
dances judged by certified judges and dance with
other Irish dancers from all over the United States.
In order to qualify to compete students attend a workshop class once a month with Danny Tighe, TCRG & director of Danny Tighe School of Irish Dance. The workshop class takes place usually the 1st Sunday of the month at 8915 Chital Drive Midlothian, VA 23112.
Students currently in the program have developed a much greater love for Irish dance & culture as well as, an improvement & more confidence in their dancing. Irish Competitions are a unique opportunity for students to celebrate the music & dance of Ireland as well as, their hard work & dedication. The program has been very successful so far & we looking forward to more students joining the program.
