The old site served us well but we decided we needed to do a little bit of revamping. The news here is in a blog format that should work nicely for getting the latest information out to current students. Hope you like it and let us know if you have any suggestions.

This summer 16 students from Fredericksburg Ballet Centre attended a one week intensive dance workshop at the Allegheny Ballet Company in Altoona, PA. Students auditioned and were placed within 5 levels where they took several classes a day in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern and character. During every class, the instructors evaluated the students for a scholarship.  A scholarship was given to the outstanding student in each level.

Laurent Eaton, 17 years old, of Fredericksburg, VA attended the workshop on a scholarship she received last summer.

An honorable mention was given in each level to the student that showed the most improvement and achievement throughout the week. Sarah Ross and Shelby Karr both received this award.
